Summer Fun at YMCA Camp Luther
Day camp means a lot of things: fun, adventure, safety, excitement, childcare, and memories.
Without a doubt, YMCA Day Camp is the place for kids in the summer. Activities and skills, learning and laughter will fill each day at camp in a positive, Christian environment. Well-trained, young adults will lead campers and model core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Kids love camp! Nothing could be better than enjoying time with friends in God’s great outdoors. Come to camp this summer, you will never forget it!

Camp Features
|
|
LIL’ CAMPERS CAMP (AGES 4 & 5) – A.M. ONLY Half-day introduction to day camp. Campers will experience basic camp activities: swimming, boating, activity centers, etc. on an introductory level. Each day a snack will be served.
BASE CAMP (AGES 6-11) Campers of all ages may go to Camp Luther Base Camp. Small groups are formed according to age with large group activities for all campers to enjoy together. Great outdoor fun for a wide age range of campers.
SUMMIT CAMP (AGES 9-14) Night hiking, evening campfire and cookout; these are just a few of the highlights of Summit Camp. Traditional camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, waterslide, activity centers, archers and much more throughout the week topped off the Thursday night cookout/campout.
MINI CAMP (AGES 6-11) Not sure about a whole week of camp, or too busy to commit 5 entire days? Try out our Mini Camp! Enjoy all the fun activities of a full week of camp packed into 3 days! Activities include canoeing, activity centers, water slide, swimming, archery, and more!
DAY TRIPS (AGES 9-14) Come and join the YMCA for a day trip to these exciting destinations! July 16 – Sidner Ice Arena, July 17 - Strategic Air and Space Museum, July 30 – Edgerton Explorit Center, July 31 – Hastings Museum/Planetarium and IMAX. EACH DAY IS LIMITED TO 45 CAMPERS.
TRAVEL/DISCOVER THE WILD KINGDOM CAMP (AGES 9-14) Each day is a new trip to an exciting area attraction. One Day 1 we travel to Island Oasis in Grand Island for a great day in the sun and water. One Day 2 we will spend another day of fun in the sun and then we pack out bags and travel to Omaha to the Henry Doorly Zoo. We will go to the IMAX and do planned activities with the zookeepers, such as a craft and explore the zoo at night with flashlights. That night we will camp out at the zoo and will get up on Day 3 and explore the buildings we missed the night before with the zookeepers. Day 3 we will send the day at the zoo and come home early afternoon. It promised to be a camp to remember for a lifetime!! THIS CAMP IS LIMITED TO 45 CAMPERS.
