Summer Fun at YMCA Camp Luther
Day camp means a lot of things: fun, adventure, safety, excitement, childcare, and memories.
Without a doubt, YMCA Day Camp is the place for kids in the summer. Activities and skills, learning and laughter will fill each day at camp in a positive, Christian environment. Well-trained, young adults will lead campers and model core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Kids love camp! Nothing could be better than enjoying time with friends in God’s great outdoors. Come to camp this summer, you will never forget it!

Camp Features
|
|
LIL’ CAMPERS CAMP (AGES 4 & 5) – A.M. ONLY Half-day introduction to Day Camp. Campers will experience basic camp activities: swimming, boating, archery, crafts, etc., on an introductory level. Each day a snack will be served.
BASE CAMP (AGES 6-11) Campers of all ages may go to Camp Pawnee for Deer Camp. Small groups are formed according to age with large group activities for all campers to enjoy together. Great outdoor fun for a wide age range of campers.
MID-SUMMER MINI CAMP (AGES 6-11) Try out this “Mini Camp” filled with all of the fun of a full week of camp packed into three great days. Great for the first time camper!
DANCE CAMP (AGES 6-11) In the morning learn skills and drills of dances and cheers from CHS Diamond Dancers. Afternoon break outside for fun with friends at Camp Pawnee. The week will culminate with a recital.
SUMMIT CAMP (AGES 9-14) Night hiking, evening campfire and cookout, these are just a few of the highlights of Summit Camp. Traditional camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, waterslide, crafts, archery and much more throughout the week topped off by the Thursday night cookout/campout.
TRAVEL/DISCOVER THE WILD KINGDOM CAMP (AGES 9-14) Each day is a new trip to an exciting area attraction. On Day 1 we travel to Island Oasis in Grand Island for a great day in the sun and water. On Day 2 we will spend another day of fun in the sun, and then we pack our bags and travel to Omaha to the Henry Doorly Zoo. We will go to the IMAX and do planned activities with the zookeepers, such as a craft and explore the zoo at night with flashlights. That night we will camp out at the zoo and we will get up on Day 3 and explore the buildings we missed the night before with the zookeepers. Day 3 we will spend the day at the zoo and come home early afternoon. It promises to be a camp to remember for a lifetime! ! THIS CAMP IS LIMITED TO 45 CAMPERS.
