Wrestling Clinic
|
|
This clinic is designed to introduce and reinforce fundamental wrestling skills and also demonstrate unique wrestling moves and techniques. The clinic is focused on folk-style wrestling covering neutral, top and bottom positions. Wrestlers of all skill levels, from beginner to experienced, will benefit from this clinic.
DATES: Dec. 3 – Dec. 21, 2009 (5 Sessions will be scheduled)
DAYS: Mondays & Thursdays
(Dates and days of week may change depending on CHS high school wrestling team schedule. Updated information will be sent to schools in Nov.)
TIME: Pre-K- Grade 2 – 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Grades 3-8 – 7:00-8:00 p.m.
LOCATION: CHS Wrestling Room
FEE: Member - FREE
Non-member - $15.00

Wrestling Team
|
|
The goal of the Columbus YMCA Youth Wrestling Team is to teach the fundamental skills of wrestling to each participant and develop teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, fitness and sportsmanship. This program is designed to be a primary feeder program for the Columbus Middle School and Columbus High School wrestling teams. Wrestlers of all skill levels, from beginner to experienced, will benefit from becoming a member of the wrestling team.
On weekends, the Team will enter several local wrestling tournaments, including Columbus, Schuyler, Fremont, Fullerton, Central City, Howells, North Bend, Grand Island, Kearney & Lincoln as well as several others. Wrestlers will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in the tournaments. Information notes will be handed out weekly with updated practice & tournament dates.
