Testimonials:

Y Lose It has become more then just weight loss for me. I was new to the community and I have met some amazing people who support me on this journey to better fitness. The staff at the Y are excellent. They encourage and challenge us at the same time. Such an amazing group of people. I am so glad we joined the Y. It is my happy place. – Renee Asche

The Y Lose It program has changed my attitude about working out by providing me the knowledge and skills to achieve my weight loss goals all while in an encouraging space. Thirteen weeks ago I had no idea I could lose 25 pounds and would enjoy coming to the gym daily for the variety of classes and activities. – Linda Kretchman

Yoga

Let me introduce Danica Izaguirre. She has been teaching at the Y for 3 years. In February 2018, she was certified in Yogafit, Foundations class and in April 2019 she took the YogaFit Communication class. As Danica starts on her Yoga Journey, we want to offer some Yoga Classes.

Gentle Yoga—Enjoy all the benefits of traditional yoga in a gentler yoga class that encourages
self-pacing, promotes over mobility, and emphasizes safe warm-up and stretching techniques.
Gentle yoga is shorter, less intense workout centered around longer warm-up and cool-down
phases for a more restorative yoga experience. Gentle yoga is a 45–minute class.

Beginning Yoga—Learn the basics of yoga and grow familiar with the foundational poses, cues, and breathing techniques commonly used in yoga classes. Experience a consistent combination of stretching, isometric holds, balancing, and movement in this 45-minute class. Beginner Yoga is beneficial for all fitness levels.

Mixed-Level Yoga—Grow your yoga practice in a longer yoga class with more challenging warm-up, work, and cool-down phases. This 60-minute class combines repetitive movement with static holds for a full body workout experience. Mixed-level yoga builds on beginner yoga poses and introduces new poses designed to increase both strength and flexibility.
