WELCOME TO THE COLUMBUS FAMILY YMCA
Financial assistance is available for all programs and membership. It’s hard to say which will get stronger. Your body? Your family? Or your community? We are not a gym, though your body will grow strong. We are not a childcare center, though we have cared for thousands of Columbus’ children over the years. We are not a social center, though countless friendships have been sparked here.

- Youth are high school and below.
- Young Adult Members are 18 and out of high school–26 years old.
- Adult Members are 27 years–64 years old.
- Single Parent Family Membership is structured for families with one parent living in the household.
- Family Membership includes married parents and all dependent kids through full time college students.
- Senior Citizen Membership must be 65 years old or older.
- Senior Citizen Married Couples must have both spouses 65 years old or older.
Under the monthly bank draft plan, payments are withdrawn from members’ bank accounts on the 10th of each month. Bank drafts must be canceled in writing by the 8th of each month to stop the payment withdrawal. Bank draft memberships renew automatically without cancellation.
BENEFITS For Members
Added value: free enrollment into Nationwide Membership, FREE group exercise classes, free Child Watch, free equipment orientations, free after school program, youth gym/activity center, all ages swim lessons, access to two full sized gymnasiums, access to a 6-lane swimming pool (25 yards), therapeutic warm water pool (adults only), jacuzzi (adults only), saunas (adults only), steam rooms (adults only), private family changing rooms, men’s, women’s and youth locker rooms, new cardio and weight equipment, reduced rates on programing, the knowledge of knowing the facility is NEVER left unattended. Y staff is always present and available for our members.
YMCA Open Doors Program
The YMCA Board of Directors is determined to help children, adults and families who cannot afford to join the YMCA or participate in our various programs. The Columbus Family YMCA is a United Way Agency and receives funding to provide financial assistance to those who qualify. Application forms are available at the Member Services desk at the YMCA. Financial Assistance is awarded according to need and is based upon a sliding scale according to annual income levels.
DAY FEES
Day Fees are able to be purchased at the Member Services Desk on a daily basis and are good for the day purchased. The YMCA reserves the right to refuse to sell day fees.

Summer Group Lessons
Summer registration typically begins two weeks prior to the first day for members, one week for non-members. Please check the schedule online or in-person.
Registrations may be completed online at our webpage, www.columbusy.org, or in person at the YMCA. No phone registrations are taken. Registration opens at 12 AM online.
The first summer session starts May 30th.
Columbus Youth Swim Club (CYSC)
Swim team members are required to be a YMCA member to participate on the team.

Group Swim Lessons
Please be mindful of designated ages and levels. Small groups are offered to ensure each swimmer is provided with plenty of one-on-one time. Each full session is 8 days for 30 minutes/session. Any sessions with less than 8 scheduled days are offered at a pro-rated price.

One-on-one scheduled lessons. These lessons help students who are looking to work independently towards their swimming goals. These will be 4 days total for 30 minutes/session.

Lessons Your Way
This is a program the Columbus Family YMCA has created for those that cannot or are unable to attend regular swim lesson programming. All classes are dependent that an instructor can meet with the swimmer at the same time. Participants can be training for competitions, in search for self-improvement, learning to lap swim, basic life-saving skills, special needs, etc.
