  Adult Sports

Men’s 3 on 3 Basketball

The Columbus Family YMCA Adult Men’s 3 on 3 League is for players 18 and older and graduated from high school. All games will be played on Thursday nights, with game times between 5 PM and 10 PM. Everyone must register as a team, and payment is due at the time the roster is submitted.

COED VOLLEYBALL

The Columbus Family YMCA Coed 6v6 Volleyball league is for adult men and women. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THIS LEAGUE. Team registrations only. No individual registrations will be accepted. All games will be played on Tuesday nights between 6 PM and 9 PM. This is an eight week session, 2 week single elimination tournament. Team consists of 3 males and 3 females!

  • Adult Fitness Classes are for High School and Older
  • Youth in middle school/junior high must be accompanied with an adult to take a class

Successful completion of Youth Strength Training Class and wearing their YMCA Muscle shirt allows them to take classes on their own.

Launches

Launch Week is January 10–15

Free to non-members to try classes. The Y will waive the $45 joiner fee if you purchase a membership during a Launch Week/or Weekend. A special card is given to you when you attend launch classes that need to be shown at Front Desk to waive fee.

Getting Started Sessions

Free for all members. All members will get 2 FREE Getting Started Sessions. First session will include a health questionnaire, assessments, and equipment education. Second session will include a free personal training session. Taking advantage of these 2 sessions will start you off on the YMCA right foot. Information on nutrition and classes can be addressed during these sessions as well.

Personal Training

This is a program for the individual looking for a one on one workout with a qualified trainer. The workout is geared toward the participant’s goals. Personal training can be done at the YMCA or as an added option, it can be done virtually through one of our video conferencing methods. Workout in the comfort of your own home with a trainer via Zoom. Price Brochures are available at the Y.

Group Personal Training

Workout with your friends or let us find some people to workout with. Group training still has the same one-on-one experience but you are also motivated by others in your group.

Specialty Classes

Youth Strength Clinic–Step 1

This is a program designed for middle school-aged youth to teach them the principles of weight lifting and how to use machines on the Wellness Floor. Successfully completing the course earns you a YMCA muscle shirt to be worn when using the exercise rooms and the track. If your child still has questions about equipment after class, please call Jen Brownlow. This is MEMBERS ONLY.

Y-Lose It Program

JANUARY 31, 2022–APRIL 9, 2022 (10 weeks)

Join the revolution of our Y-Lose It Program! This will be an AMAZING 10 week health and fitness journey for you! You will be on a team with others interested in making a change in their wellness habits. You get access to a wellness coach, you train, exercise and learn healthy habits that will last a lifetime along with your team. You can make your own team, or make some new friends by having the Y assign you to a team. Each team will work out together 2 days every week for 10 weeks of the Challenge. Your Coach will conduct weekly weigh-ins. Sign up for a Class time—5:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 12 PM, 4 PM, or 6:30 PM.

Top 4 people that lose the biggest percentage of body fat win $50 each.

Right Start January Program

Let us help you get started here at the YMCA. If your goal is to be healthier this January, let us help you get started on the right path. You will learn about our Cardio machines, Weight machines, Fitness Classes and More. Sign up for a class time–5:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 12 PM, 6:30 PM

Hundred Club

JANUARY 1, 2022–DECEMBER 31, 2022 | REGISTRATION IS $5 PER YEAR

Join the club that lasts a lifetime! Each participant must complete the designated miles in their preferred area within the calendar year. All members that are successful will be recognized at the annual board meeting. Accumulative miles are awarded at 500 and 1,000 miles.

EXERCISE FOR LIFE

Must complete 200 miles running/walking indoors or outdoors. Work done on the elliptical, step mill, arc trainer can be counted and will be counted as walking.

CYCLING FOR LIFE

Must complete 400 miles of cycling indoors or outdoors.

RUN FOR LIFE

Must complete 200 miles running indoors or outdoors.

WALK FOR LIFE

Must complete 200 miles of walking indoors or outdoors.

SWIM FOR LIFE

Must complete 100 miles of swimming.

Track Information

Track | for ages High School & Older

Blue Lane is the Fast Lane—Runners stay to the right

15+ laps are a mile on the inside lane
14+ laps are a mile on the outside lane

Low usage times are 1:00–3:30 PM | Mondays–Fridays

Kids are allowed on track after they pass Youth Strength Training class and need to wear the YMCA Muscle T-shirt.

Parents can be holding 0–1yr olds on the track.

  • Remember to look both ways while getting on
    and off track.
  • Be courteous to runners and walkers around you.
Family Track Time

Need to be on the track with your family (adult, high school and older) with younger ones. Strollers are allowed during this time.
