Youth Development at the Columbus Family YMCA provides the tools youth need to become successful, independent, dynamic community leaders.
The Columbus Family YMCA offers many opportunities for youth in grades Kindergarten to 8th Grade. We aim to foster a warm and comfortable environment where everyone feels welcome. Columbus Family YMCA programs focus on our four core values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring. Our youth and family programs are designed to develop these values so we can accomplish our mission:to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
Our Columbus Family YMCA school age programs offer a fun, safe place for children. Children enrolled at our Family YMCA school age programs are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that enhance physical fitness, encourage sportsmanship and promote cooperative learning.
This 4 week program is for children ages 3-5, run on Mondays and Wednesdays of each week. Mondays will be devoted to pool time, where the focus will be on water comfort and water safety. Wednesdays will be spent in the gym, where the focus will be motor skills, coordination, and social skills.
